52 Weeks of Art

It’s time to get CREATIVE!

Hi everyone, I hope you are enjoying the new look of the website. As introduction to the new site I wanted to do something for all of you. 2017 is going to be a creative year! I have created an art challenge for myself. Starting with the new year I am going to post once a week, every week, all the pieces I create between posts. Some weeks may include multiple pieces or a single piece. The weekly posts will show case many mediums such as, paint, marker, photography, bones, wood, and wire. I will describe my motivation, techniques, materials, and other thoughts I have on each piece. My works will be a reflection of the new places, people, and objects I encounter in my daily life.

I’m excited to take on this Creative Year Art Challenge and share my experience and creations with you and hope to inspire you to create more art.
Please join me on my journey of self-expression, exploring endless possibilities, and sparking that creative ball of energy that’s inside all of us. I hope to inspire you to begin your own journey of discovery through art.

While visiting family for the holidays in Arizona, I created this bird drawing using Sharpie Pens and Faber Castell Markers on 9″ x 12″ Bristol paper. This piece was inspired by the doves and quail that visited the back yard while I enjoyed my coffee on the patio.
