Good afternoon lovely humans!

Does anyone here have an obsession with plants?

Their beauty, aroma, and energy!

I have a growing obsession with plants. I can’t help but want to rescue them at the store every time I see one (Like a kid at the grocery store; always wants something to take home! Haha). They have great energy and amazing healing properties; some I will be sharing in a minute.

But before I do, I have to say that intuition is a powerful thing. The struggle of not being energized, feeling anxiety and exhaustion is a real thing for me and many others. I’ve been focused on creating a better and happier self lately and I can’t help but feel that the universe is finally on my side! I don’t feel like it was chance that I happened to pick up and acquire these particular plants over the past few weeks.

I took a trip to Bismarck, ND a week or so ago, and stumbled into Lowe’s…when I say stumbled, I mean, I needed a shipping box and UPS wasn’t the first place to come to mind. Additionally, UPS didn’t have an array of green foliage to admire and give me the burst of energy that I needed, so naturally, I chose Lowe’s.

Although I left Lowe’s without a box, I managed to rescue some cute, little baby plants including, a snake plant, ivy, lemon thyme, and oregano. Little did I know, the valuable additions I had been acquiring to my growing number of house plants that are beneficial to a home! In the previous few weeks, an aloe vera, basil, and money plant were adopted into our home to accompany the parlor palm and bamboo that have been traveling with me for a few years.

This morning I came across an article about the types of plants to have in your home to bring positive energy. This is why I wanted to share my story and give you a little info to help bring some energy and positivity into your life.

Why are plants good mood boosters?

  • aesthetically pleasing

  • the color green is calming and grounding

  • they help lower levels of stress

  • they need to be loved; the act of care giving has a positive effect on our psyche

    • filter polluted air

So why not add some plants to your home? You can even go a step farther by adding herbs to your windowsill for cooking and teas for even more benefits.

Here are the members of my home you have been waiting for…

There are so many benefits to having house plants! The universe was helping me generate more energy and positivity the past few weeks and I hadn’t even realized where this burst of energy came from until now. I hope this will encourage all of you to add more foliage into your home if you don’t have much or any at the moment. Watching them grow and mature throughout the years has been a reward on its own.

Please leave in the comments what some of your favorite house plants are and why?

I would love to have a reason to adopt some more!

Have a wonderful day

Kortney Beth
