Blending inconspicuously into his surroundings, the red-eyed tree frog knows how to make a statement. As soon as he’s disturbed, he opens his eyes to reveal venomous red orbs, and adjusts his body to reveal his blinding orange feet and vivid blue & yellow coloration on his haunches. However, there’s a reason this tree-frog has a smug little grin on his face… he knows a secret that his predators don’t: He’s not actually poisonous. That’s right, our cheeky green jumper is no more poisonous than you or I.
While not specifically endangered himself, the habitat he lives in is rapidly shrinking. That’s why, to preserve his and many others’ habitat, it’s important that we raise awareness about deforestation and the issues it can cause.
